Know what’s better than a cooking show on TV? A cooking show in your own living room . . . with PUPPETS!!

Cooking Show with Puppets: Creative Play Idea

Puppet Cooking Show Featuring Melissa & Doug’s Chef Puppet

Using puppets is a fantastic way to encourage imagination and storytelling skills while having lots of fun! My girls adore their chef puppet (Chef Alfredo “Al” Dente), so they were very excited to have Chef Alfredo (yours truly hiding behind the sofa) teach them the proper way to make a great tasting pizza!

First, they spread out the dough, and added tomato sauce (made from the freshest ingredients, of course).

Then, it was time to add the cheese. Clara helped Chef Alfredo count the number of pizza slices as he went along. Bellissimo!

A culinary star is born!

Next, he added the toppings! Chef Alfredo used plenty of tasty and fresh vegetables on his pizza.

Finally, the taste test! It started out quite nicely. Chef Alfredo took a few tiny bites, and then. . . .

..he quickly devoured the entire pizza!!!

Mmmm . . . Delicioso!!

It didn’t take long for the girls to have puppet cooking shows on their own. Chef Alfredo went on to tape several more episodes including ravioli, lasagna, and even spaghetti with lots of silly giggles along the way!

Have fun!!
