One toy from Melisa and Doug that my toddler would love is the/a train set. He loves anything that moves and is starting to recognize trains in books and movies. It’s always difficult to pull him away from the train sets at the toy store. We’ve put one on the wish-list for Christmas!

I am a big fan and purchase of your wood puzzles. I have mainly found them at Kohl’s. I was recently delighted in seeing that Home Goods carry a variety of your quality toys. i purchased a bead and magnetic doll set for the holiday gift giving this year as well as another puzzle. However, I’ve never seen any of the puppets in retail stores. Online shopping can been to costly with the price of shipping.

I think they would also enjoy the stamp and sort mail box. There is a mail slot at my son’s pre-school and he always wants to play with it as we are leaving. My younger son wants to play with everything his older brother plays with so I know he would enjoy it as well.

The item my daughter is begging for this year are the amazing puppets! There are too many to chose from!

Thank you Melissa and Doug. My children have grown up learning, growing, and loving all of their Melissa and Doug toys. Our favorites are: the magnetic calendars which they love updating with events from their day and planning special events, the easel is used daily to send notes and make works of art, the musical toys such as the percussion toys is one of my husband’s favorite 🙂
I teach preschool and my class also uses a wide variety of Melissa and Doug products.

My 9 year old granddaughter would love to have the large wooden doll house. She and I both love “home decor” and have often talked about what fun it would be to have a doll house to accessorize together.

One other toy I’d like to have is the folding princess castle. My daughter is in love with the folding princess castle because it has the pink on it which reminds her of pigs. It’s cool because she likes pigs better than princesses, but uses the pigs from various play sets as the whole cast for princess scenes. Thank you!

ONE OTHER TOY I’D LOVE TO HAVE IS a penguin, most definitely! But the trucks are awesome, so I would have a hard time playing with just one thing at a time, so I would probably truck the penguin over to the puppet show. At least I would have one member of the audience who would not throw popcorn at me during my puppet show.

I’m a childern’s Pastor at a small church in Missouri. I come on your website all the time looking at your puppets wishing we had the money to buy some. I know the kids would love having an of the puppets. But I know they would also like some of your out door products like the kick balls ours always seem to go missing. We also have several students that love to make things I saw your door plagues. I think some of our younger students would like the Trunki they all love the one ride able toy car we have and the train that has a dead battery with no charger. I believe that your company makes quality products and would feel very blessed to own any of them.

It is hard to choose just one but I would have to select the large wooden fire truck that comes apart and has 4 firemen hidden inside the “cab”. It was a gift to the boys at birth and all the babies have played with it and have sat on it and road on it. We are still using it. Thanks for a great product!

The Walton dollhouse. My Dad built a dollhouse from scratch for me that matched the style of the house I grew up in. The Walton looks like the house my family lives and and the kit would help my husband who is not exactly the carpenter that my Dad was.

  • 652. Tamara Poulson  |  November 15, 2010 at 12:51 pm

One other toy my child wood like to have is one of the play food sets. My 3yr old boy LOVES to pretend play…cook dinner specifically. He has been using Play Doh but that can get really messy so I don’t allow him to play with it as much as he wants to. He seen some play food sets in the store but none were of good quality so I did not purchase them.

My boys would LOVE to have the wooden train set! Every time we go to the local store in town that has displays of many of the Melissa and Doug toys the kids run straight to the train and cry when it’s time to leave! Santa is seriously considering leaving them a set of their own with the play table! The older of the two boys also loves to play with the wooden kitchen set up in the store. He and his brother enjoy “cutting” the food and making “soup” for everyone! Santa has already invested in some “cutting” food:) We love the durable wooden toys! Thanks!

One other toy I would like my child to have is the stuffed giraffe. The family currenlty has the kangaroo, a bengal tiger, a tiger, a lion, and a monkey and these toys double for so many characters in imaginative play. The monkey and the kangaroo are often passed off as princes and princesses and the tigers double for pets in an Arab palace. These animals are well made and provide endless hours of play.

I have a number of puppets but would like to see a special group price on the King,Queen, Princess, Knight, and Dragon so a story could be done. I have a cheerleader which we made a new custume in our school colors blk and orange.

We have so many Melissa & Doug toys, it is hard to say which one my children love best. They play with them all. My son loves to bake the cookies in “his kitchen”. My daughter plays with her magnetic doll set all the time. And, they would love to have the puppet theater and puppets to add to their Melissa & Doug collection! Thank you for all the wonderful toys!

I would LOVE for my son and daughter to each have an Augie Alligator Sleepbag! That’s all my son talks about and I would love for the both of them to have one!

I have 17 month old B/G twins. I think my son would love the Chomp & Clack Alligator push toy, and my daughter is beginning to love “babies.” I think she’d like the Annie doll. Those are my guesses.

  • 1412. Deanna  |  November 4, 2010 at 8:39 pm

My daughter would love the wooden doll high chair. She loves to pretend to be a “mama” and she has a new baby sibling on the way. It would be good practice.

My Grandchildren love to play pirates. I know they would love this chest. It also has a five star rating for two customers. I have been trying to find a nice treasure chest to give to my youngest grandson for Christmas and I am going to purchase this one.
